Mrs. Darlene Jeanette Combs Tate

Mrs. Darlene Jeanette Combs Tate, 56 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born on July 27, 1957 in Galax, VA to the late David C. and Edith Irene Hawks Combs. Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was such a warm and caring individual, who dearly loved her family. She touched the hearts of all that she met. Mrs. Tate is survived by her husband, Edgar Tate; her daughter, Penny Marion, a son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Regan Tate; four grandchildren, Kayla Marion, Kasey Marion, Cordelia Tate and Lydia Tate; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Gail Combs, Daniel and Paige Combs, Sammy and Angie Combs, and Dwight and Tina Combs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin Marion; and a brother, William Combs. A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Combs Family Cemetery.
