Mrs. Delsie P. Aldridge

Mrs. Delsie Elizabeth Pack Aldridge, age 89, of Mt Airy, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at Surry Community Nursing Center. Mrs. Aldridge was born in Surry County on January 4, 1928, to Quillie Armston and Oma Etta Bowman Pack. She was a well-known high school teacher for 33 years. Mrs. Aldridge was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Merry and Jeff Thomas; sons; Billy Aldridge and friend, Shelia Marshall and Stan Aldridge, grandchildren; Wesley Aldridge, Breeanna Aldridge, John Aldridge, Shane Aldridge and Devin Thomas and wife Heather; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ninnan Martin and Zeo Stone. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aldridge was preceded in death by her husband Bill Aldridge and her brother Wayne Pack. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wilborn Rives. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
