Mrs. Demmie Lee Woodruff Pruitt

Mrs. Demmie Lee Woodruff Pruitt age 79 of Claudville, VA widow of Mr. Bobby Ray Pruitt passed away Saturday morning, August 4, 2012 at her home. She was born February 13, 1933 in Carroll County, VA to the late Burdette and Savannah Phillips Woodruff. She was retired from Renfro Corporation and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Dianne Bledsoe, Claudville, VA, two sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Bryant and Kristen Pruitt, Stuart, VA, and David Ray Pruitt, Dublin, VA, three-grandchildren, Sherry Hall, Claudville, VA, Cristy Pruitt, Tazwell, VA and Angela Hinkle, Tazwell, VA, and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael James Hall, several sisters and brothers. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Monday, August 6, 2012 at Hatcher's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 am Monday until time of the service at Hatcher's Chapel United Methodist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite, 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 .The family would like to express a special thanks to Angie Vipperman for all the love and care given to Mrs. Pruitt during her illness.
