Mrs. Diana D. Douglas

Mrs. Diana D. Douglas, age 75, of Elkin, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, surrounded by her loving husband and her special friends. She was born May 30, 1941 in Manchester, New Hampshire to the late Helen and Samy Daghir Sr. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Salem Fork Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 30 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronny Douglas, of the home; Special friends, Kathy and Norman Denslow and Tami Serena; sons John Scott and Mark Donovan; sisters Cheryl Merrill and Gail Trembly: brother, Samy Daghir; step daughter, Brendale Perkins; nephew Samy Ross Daghir: nieces, Christine Schwab and Deborah Merrill and Lisa Bledsoe; brothers in law, Harvey Douglas, Leon Douglas, Joey Douglas and Louis Cooler and sister in law, Anna Carter. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 1-2 PM at Salem Fork Baptist Church. The Service will follow at 2 PM with Reverend Sean Joplin officiating. The committal service will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody-Davis Funeral Service, PO Box 295, Dobson NC 27017, to help with final expenses.
