Mrs. Doris Holyfield Wilmoth

Mrs. Doris Holyfield Wilmoth, age 81, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on March 8th 1933 to the late Jim and Ila Norman Holyfield. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wilmoth; one granddaughter Chortney Wilmoth; and an infant brother J.W. Holyfield. She was retired from Dobson Elementary School where she was a "lunch lady" for many years, and was a member of Welcome View Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Greg Keesee of Ruffin, NC; two sons and daughter-in-law Dwight Wilmoth of Dobson, NC, Jimmy and LeAnn Wilmoth of Traphill, NC; five grandchildren David Keesee, Layla Keesee, Josh Wilmoth, Macie Bell, Cash Wilmoth; one great-grandchild Caitlin Isley; two sisters and brothers-in-law Bertha and Gary Reece of Dobson, Linda and Mike Mecum of Dobson; one brother and sister-in-law Roger and Carolyn Holyfield of Dobson; four sisters-in-law Dorothy Crouse of Thurmond, Collie Sidden of Lewisville, Betty Wilmoth of Thurmond, Georgia Wilmoth of Thurmond; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday December 19th 2014 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Rev. Austin Caviness will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Hill Cemetery C/O Dorothy Crouse 1269 Union Hill Rd. Thurmond, NC 28683.
