Mrs. Dorothy Alice Morris Boyles

Mrs. Dorothy Alice Morris Boyles, age 91 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Boyles was born in Mt. Airy on November 9, 1924 to Emanuel Victor and Jessie Suzanna Webb Morris. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Myers and friend, Charles Oktavec; sons, Larry Boyles, Jim Boyles, and Jeff Boyles and friend, Laura Powell; grandchildren, Kristen Bizon and husband Chris, Deanna Stewart and husband, Russell, III; great grandchildren, Claire Bizon, Miles Bizon, and Russell Stewart, IV; a sister, Myrtle Morris, and a sister-in-law, Maude Morris. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyles was preceded in death by her husband, Ott Boyles; sisters, Marguerite Brown, Katherine Brown, and Ruth Blackburn; and by a brother, Howard Morris, Sr. A service of celebration will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church by Rev. Jay Meadows. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fireside Room. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church at 714 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Central Continuing Care, Ridgecrest Assisted Living, Yadkin Valley Home Health, Home Instead, Northern Hospital 3rd Floor staff, and the Woltz Hospice Home for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Boyles.
