Mrs. Dorothy R. Waters

Mrs. Dorothy Anne Ransome Waters, age 93, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Twelve Oaks Retirement Center. Mrs. Waters was born in Cuyahoga County, OH on April 30, 1922 to Ernest Charles and Myrtle Williams Ransome. She was a retired attorney after serving in the Public Defender’s Office in Media, PA. Mrs. Waters was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth Theodore Waters; a daughter, Amy C. Johnson; a son, Eric G Waters; and grandchildren, Corinne J. Hassey; Christian Johnson and Rylin Johnson; a great granddaughter, Penelope and special nieces Melanie Lashley and Jill Laughlin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dr. William J. Johnson; and her brothers, John Ransome and his wife Marylin and Richard Ransome. A celebration of life for Mrs. Waters will be held in her hometown in Ohio.
