Mrs. Eileen Q. Hubbard

Mrs. Eileen Quesinberry Hubbard, age 88 of Meadows of Dan passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Skyline Nursing Center in Floyd. She was born on Feb. 15, 1925 in Patrick County to the late Tyler and Ethel Branscome Quesinberry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Eugene Hubbard; two brothers, Elmen and Dorn Quesinberry; a son-in- law, Keith Cabaniss; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Quesinberry. Mrs. Hubbard was a member of Reed Island Springs Baptist Church and attended Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church. She was a teacher at Meadows of Dan School and at Mountain View, a one room school.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Judy Cabaniss , Jerri and Ed England; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lane and Margaret Hubbard, Dan and Bea Hubbard; grandchildren, Carol and Mike, Denise and Alan, Shelly and Ty, Everett, Beth, Alan and Crystal, Ethan, Tammy and Rocky, Kristy and Jason, Josh, Beth and Ryan; 14 great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Arden and Golda, Gary, Harmon and Judy, Chester and Donna, Eric and Janet, and Verona Quesinberry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Edward Bowman and Pastor Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
