Mrs. Eleanor Jane Dunbar, age 77 of Mt. Airy passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Dunbar was born on October 24, 1933 in Surry County to the late Wade and Geneva Neal Laughridge. She retired from Pine State and was a member of Haymore Baptist Church. Mrs. Dunbar is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Michael Wall of Mt. Airy; a grandson, Brad Wall of Siloam; a sister, Barbara Nichols of Mt. Airy; two half sisters, Evon Repaire of Baton Rouge, LA and Maria Richardson of Denver, CO; a half brother, Robert Monday of Houston, TX; Step children, Ruth Hawks, Ray Dunbar, Stonie Dunbar and Ricky Dunbar all of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunbar was preceded in death by her first husband, Sonny Jarrell; her second husband, Bud Lineback and her third husband, Elmer Dunbar; a step daughter, Carole Gentry. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Haymore Baptist Church by Rev. Robert McCrary with burial to follow in the Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state for 30 Minutes prier to the service.
