Mrs. Elena Margarita Pinto Spivey

Mrs. Elena Margarita Pinto Spivey age 83 of Mount Airy, NC passed away on Sunday June 28, 2015 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Spivey was born in Miranda, Venezuela, February 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Gonzalo and Paya Arocha Pinto. Mrs. Spivey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Mount Airy. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Olga and Roy Joyce; four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jacki Spivey, Robert and Alisa Spivey, Russell Spivey, Richard Spivey, and Maria Spivey; grandchildren, Tatjana and Frank Ziglar, Adriana and Robert Pendergrass, Renee Anthony, Jeremy and Ashley Spivey, Richard Joyce and girlfriend, Annelise, Cristina Joyce, Albert Spivey, and Russell Spivey and his fiancé', Kaitlin; 10 great grandchildren; five sisters, and two brothers; special friends, Alejandro Agurto, Nelson and Neusa Bellon, Vicki Peñuela, Hector and Rosalba Barrios, and Juan Camilo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Albert Godwin Spivey, Sr., one son, Albert Godwin Spivey, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 4:30 PM at the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Reverend Father Lawrence W. Heiney officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church.
