Mrs. Elisabeth Capanola McHone

Mrs. Elisabeth Capanola Collins McHone, age 88, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. McHone was born in Surry County on September 13, 1926. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Mrs. McHone was also a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Timothy McHone ; son-in-law, H. L. Hawks; granddaughters, Kasey McHone and Sarah H. Brady and husband, Cheyenne and a great granddaughter, Taylor McBride. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McHone was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter McHone; a daughter, Sheila M. Hawks and a brother, Otis Collins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Alex Martin. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
