Mrs. Elsie Priest Seaver

Mrs. Elsie Priest Seaver, age 82, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Tuesday morning February 3, 2015 at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. She was born on February 17, 1932 to the late John Granville Priest and the late Thelma Scroggie Priest. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Earl Martin Seaver, Jr., lovingly known as “Marty"; one brother Clifford Priest; and one sister-in-law Peggy Priest. She devoted her life to her family, as well as, used her talents to faithfully serve as church pianist and/or organist for 65+ years. She was retired from Riddle Farm Equipment, was a member of Copeland Baptist Church, and a graduate of Stetson University in Deland, Florida. Surviving is her loving husband Earl M. Seaver, Sr. of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Thelma Karen King and her husband Jody King of Mount Airy, NC; two granddaughters Maegan King and Meredith King; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. Burial will follow in the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Kenny King will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
