Mrs. Erma White Booker

Mrs. Erma Ruth White Booker, age 89 of Germanton, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Universal Healthcare in King. Mrs. Booker was born in Patrick County on June 6, 1924 to Cephus William and Maggie Lee Rogers White. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Mrs. Booker was a member of Germanton Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Allan Boles of Tobaccoville; Fritzi and Brooks Moore of Chesterfield, SC; a son, John Booker, Jr. of Burlington; grandchildren, Neal Tolbert and Brooke Tolbert; step grandchildren, Heath Moore, Kelli Fleshman and Leigh Ann Lawrence; six great grandchildren and brothers, Stuart White of Westfield and Ronald White of Pilot Mountain. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Booker was preceded in death by her husband, John Fritz Booker, Sr., a sister, Iris Hayden and brothers, Roger White, Vernon White, Weldon White and Aldon White. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy by Rev. Jeff Stephens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Germanton Baptist Church at, 112 Willow St, Germanton, NC 27019 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
