Mrs. Esther Naomi Davis

Mrs. Esther Naomi Easter Davis, 88, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Central Continuing Care. She was born in Surry County on September 20, 1926 to the late, William James and Celia Ann Hawks Easter. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Jerry Allred; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Diane Davis, Wayne and Kaye Davis; grandchildren and spouses, April Allred, Terry Davis, Rhonda and Billy Young, Stephanie and Don Boyles; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Laura Finney, and Catherine Hill; brothers, J.W. Easter, and Ralph Easter; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Robert "Rob" Davis; brothers, William "Bill" Easter, and Ronald Easter. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Woody Flippen officiating. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home; however, the family will be accepting friends at the home of Wayne Davis.
