Mrs. Ethel Moore Frazier

Mrs. Ethel Moore Frazier, age 72 of Stuart departed this life on Friday, April 4, 2014 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on June 8, 1941 to the late Roland and Beatrice Joyce Moore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Frazier; a son, Jonathan W. Frazier; a sister, Mildred Moore; and two brothers, Fred and Roy Moore.. She attended elementary and high school in Patrick Co. and furthered her education at Winston-Salem State University. She later earned a Masters degree in Education from Columbia University in New York. She retired from the Patrick County School System after 36 years of teaching. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Kings Mountain View Progressive Primitive Baptist Church where she served as church clerk, member of the Senior Choir, Women's Auxiliary, and taught Sunday School. She was an active member of the Patrick County Retired Teachers Association; and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to whatever endeavor she undertook.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Nathan Frazier of Stuart; six sisters and brothers in law, Emojean Amerson of Charleston, WV, Bernice and Willie Kellam of Stoneville, NC, Mattie and Brock Bostic, Dollie McKenney all of New York, NY, Iris and James Hines, Virginia and Grady Galloway of all of Stuart; four brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Sarah Moore, Michael and Lucy Moore, Rickie and Nancy Moore all of Stuart, Joe T. and Margie Moore of Dover, DE; a special nephew, Darryl Moore of Winchester; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Kings Mountain View Progressive Primitive Baptist Church in Westfield, NC with Elder James Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Hylton Thessalonia Church Cemetery. A wake will be held Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
