Mrs. Eunice Vernon Hawks

Mrs. Eunice Vernon Hawks, age 88 of Mt. Airy, passed away on November 21, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Hawks was born in Carroll County on November 9, 1926 to Jake and Iva Collins Vernon. She was a loving homemaker and was a member of Franklin Heights United Methodist Church. Surviving are grandchildren, Angela Hawks Hefner, Lynette Hawks Keller and Derrick Hawks; a great grandson, Jackson Keller; a sister, Pauline Vaughn; a brother, Earlie Vernon; a nephew, Eddie Vaughn and his wife Helen, nieces, Betty Jarrell and Shirley Vaughn; special friends, Christine Fackrell, Jack and Susan Tilley, Shirley Rakes and Page and Randy Redpath and their children Elizabeth and very special, Ryland, whom Mrs. Hawks so tenderly cared for, quite some time. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Hawks and her two sons, Jerry Hawks and Ron Hawks. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, December 6, 2014 at Crestview Memorial Park by Rev. Richard Buffkin.
