Mrs. Evelyn Alice Hill Wall, 90, of Ararat, NC widow of Harvey Wilson Wall passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was married to Harvey for 73 years. She was born in Patrick County on November 19, 1923 to the late Totsy D. and India Powell Hill. Mrs. Wall was retired from Spencer's and was a faithful and dedicated member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. She loved her family, Church, friends and neighbors. Mrs. Wall will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Atwell and husband, Eli of Winston Salem, Ray Wall and wife, Anne of Mt. Airy, Barbara Weir and husband, Charley of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Holly and Ron Johnston, Gavin Jones, Andrea Stewart and Stephen Hansen, Mari Atwell and Mark Singletary, Alyson and Greg Semones; three great grandchildren, Katelyn Jones, Kamryn Semones and Colsen Semones; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Marsh of Mt. Airy, Bertie Guynn of Ararat, VA, Nelda and Jerry Fink of Virginia Beach, VA; many nieces and nephews; several neighbors and special friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by two sisters, Suzie Gambill and Essie Badgett; five brothers, Herman, Harry, Kermit, Warren, and Wayne Hill. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends at the family home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rock Hill Baptist Church 114 Bullin Farm Lane, Ararat, NC 27007 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
