Mrs. Evelyn Mae Goins Worrell

Mrs. Evelyn Mae Goins Worrell age 85 of 142 Sherry Drive, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Clyde Worrell passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Golden Living Center. She was born July 29, 1927 in Guilford County to the late Claude and Ellen Goins. She was retired from Cross Creek and was a baby sitter. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Surratt, Mt. Airy and a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Phyllis Worrell, Mt. Airy, two grandsons, Michael Surratt, Kernersville, and William (Bill) Surratt, Mt. Airy, a sister, Bobbie Camp, Greensboro, and two brothers, Arnold Goins, Mt. Airy and George Goins, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Worrell was preceded in death by a son in law, Dale Surratt, two sisters, Claudia D. (Dot) Norman and Elizabeth Bowman and a brother, Buddy Goins. A graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. James Jones and Rev. Andrew Draughn. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home from 12:30 pm Tuesday until time for Mrs. Worrell to be taken to the cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Service, PO Box 1288, Mt. Airy, NC to help with funeral expense.
