Mrs. Florence Scales Robertson

Mrs. Florence Scales Robertson, age 63 of Stuart, Virginia passed away Friday July 19, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 21, 1949 in Patrick County to the Late Raleigh Scales and Eva Mabe Scales Abbott. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Robertson and a son, Johnnie Ray Robertson. Florence was well known for her ability to cook in her community and had many wonderful friends to which she loved talking to where ever she went. She was a faithful member of Mayo Mountain Church and a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabeline & Doug Marshall of Mount Airy, North Carolina, Joyce & Doug Wood of Lexington, North Carolina, Debbie Scales and Princess Scales, both of North Carolina; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Stanley & Dora Abbott of Stuart, Ralph Scales of Claudville, Virginia and William Scales of Roanoke, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Robertson will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Mayo Mountain Church with Pastor David Heath officiating; where she will lay in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in the Creasey's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart and at other times at the home.
