Mrs. Frances Shelor Morse

Mrs. Frances Shelor Morse, age 83 of Stuart, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on March 5, 1931 to the late James Sandy "Jim" Shelor and Hattie Jefferson Shelor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morse was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister, Nancy Shelor. She was a member of Stateline Primitive Baptist Church, and had retired from J.P. Stevens.
Mrs. Morse is survived by her husband of 61 years, Odell Morse of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip O. and Brenda Morse of Westminster, Maryland, R. Sandy and Lisa Morse of Siler City, North Carolina; four granddaughters, Tori Kaskel and husband, Nick, Katie Morse, Kristen Swartz and husband, Chris, and Sarah Morse; and one sister, Dorothy Creel of Westfield, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morse will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Stateline Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jerry Cox and Elder J. H. Keaton officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home.
