Mrs. Gaynell barr Thompson

Mrs. Gaynell Barr Thompson Age 71 of Hillsville Va. passed away Thursday July 31, 2014 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mrs. Thompson was born May 15, 1943 in Carroll County to the late Elmer and Fannie Barr, she retired from the furniture Industry and was a member of Rome Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter Bonnie Sizemore of Galax, one grandson Shane Sizemore of Galax, two sisters Margaret Bowman of Ararat, VA. and Bula Hawks of Galax, VA. and a special friend Robbie Page of Hillsville. In addition to her parents Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband James Alfred Thompson, by one sister and ten brothers. Graveside services will be held Sunday August 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rome Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Terry McMillian and Rev. James Walker. Her body will lie in state 30 minutes before the service at the cemetery. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy will be assisting the Thompson Family. The family would like to give a special thank you to the CCU Unit at Forsyth Medical Center for all their care and kindness shown to Mrs. Thompson.
