Mrs. Gaynor Moles Goad

Mrs. Gaynor Moles Goad, age 83 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Golden Living Nursing Center. Mrs. Goad was born in Dugspur, VA on October 13, 1931 to Grover and Arlie Moles. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter Hazel Lovill; a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Brenda Goad; grandchildren, Jill G. Van Briesen and husband Daniel and James C. Goad; step grandchildren, J. T. Duncan and Austin Duncan; sisters, Melva Stanley and Almeta Carson, a brother and sister-in-law, C. D. and Betty Moles and numerous nieces and nephews in addition to a very special niece, Mary Jane Jones. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Goad; sisters, Vernith Boyd and Geneva Jones and a brother, Deward Moles. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 3, 2015 at Flippin Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Burton. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
