Mrs. Girlandean "Dean" Virginia Craft, 89, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Mt. Airy. She was born in McDowell County, WV on April 1, 1923 to the late Ferrell and May McHaffey Snow. Mrs. Craft was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and a member of Calvary Assembly of God. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Charles Pardue of Mt. Airy; five sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Cheryl Craft, Tommy and Brenda Craft, Junior and Phyllis all of Mt. Airy, Bill and Gloria Craft of Welch, WV, Robert and Teresa Craft of Davy, WV; twenty two grandchildren; fourty three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Jo, Marge, Scarlette and Deloris Snow; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lacy Craft, Sr.; a son, Freddie Craft; two grandchildren, Freddie Wayne Craft and Joey Pardue; four brothers, Arville, Charles, Lee, and Otis Snow, and three infant brothers. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Vaught and Rev. Sammy Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lambsburg. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to give a special thank you to Melissa Ramey for her love and care given to Mrs. Craft.
