Mrs. Gracie Mae Chaney Edwards

Mrs. Gracie Mae Chaney Edwards, 66 of Lowgap passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was born in Stokes County on November 10, 1948 to the late Harrison and Ellen Montgomery Chaney. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to everyone that knew her. She is survived by her husband, Bernie F. Edwards; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Shannan Edwards, Kevin and Rhonda Edwards; grandchildren, Wyatt Edwards, Katelyn Edwards, Ava Grace Edwards and Blake Inman; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Otis Willard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Monroe and Cindy Chaney, Arthur and Pansy Chaney and Nellie Montgomery and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Avis Chaney and brothers, Robert Montgomery, Russell and Matthew Chaney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Everidge and Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2015.
