Mrs. Hassie Mae Hall McHone

Mrs. Hassie Mae Hall McHone, age 95 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. McHone was born in Patrick County, VA on December 30, 1919 to Thomas and Dora Hawks Hall. She was a lifetime member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. McHone retired at age 82 from Cross Creek Apparel with over 40 years of service. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Howard "Junior" and Becky McHone; grandchildren, Patty McHone, Dean McHone and Steven McHone; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Lou Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McHone was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin McHone, Sr.; a son, Michael McHone; a sister, Della Holder and two brothers, Rudolph and Roscoe Hall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Eaton. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
