Mrs. Hazel M. Smith Easter

Mrs. Hazel Marie Smith Easter, 76, passed away at Forsyth Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Mrs. Easter resided at the David's House in Dobson, N.C. Mrs. Easter was born in Heppner Oregon, on May 10, 1938. She was the daughter of the late William Smith and Myrtle Wilkinson Smith. She is survived by three daughters; Helen Patrick and husband Allen Patrick of Mt. Airy, Rita Easter and special friend James Bailey of White Plains, Teresa Easter and special friend Ronnie McMillian of Cana, V.A., three sons; Melvin Easter of White Plains, Thomas Easter and wife Rita Shinault Easter of Mt. Airy, Bobby Easter and special friend Mary Potts of White Plains; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by the father of her children, Homer Easter; five sisters; Adine Elaine Stone, Alberta Ida Wilson, Maxine Elizabeth Warren, Ethel May Smith, Mary Louise Smith; one brother, John Lewis Smith. A memorial service officiated by Rev. Ted Turner at the Shelton Church of the Brethren on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody's Funeral Home for expenses.
