Mrs. Hazel Ann Hensley Handy

Mrs. Hazel Ann Hensley Handy, age 74 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on May 15, 1940 to the late Nick Hensley and Laura H. Hensley Justice. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Handy was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Handy; three brothers, Nick, Ellis and Coy Hensley; and two sisters, Betty Branch and Kelly Harris. She was a member of Five Forks Wesleyan Church. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers.
Mrs. Handy is survived by several nieces and nephews, Evelyn, Ava, Laura, Junior, Tony, Wanda, Bill, Roy, David, Charles, Jimmy, Alpha Mae, Jenny Mae, Eddie, Tommy, Wayne, Mary and Shirley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mitchell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and other times at the home.
