Mrs. Helen Grace Hill Roberson

Mrs. Helen Grace Roberson, age 92, of Stuart, Virginia, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was born on March 31, 1925 to the late George Hill, Sr. and Annie Carter Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Roby Roberson; five sisters, Myrtle Turner, Annie Mae Pettigrew, Jeannette Ware, Larnell Cockerham, Geraldine Smith; four brothers, George Hill Jr., Forest Hill, Ronnie Hill, and Allen Hill; and one son-in-law, Ray Foddrell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Greater Tabernacle of Praise and retired from J.P. Stevens Inc.

Surviving are her six children, Jennie Foddrell, Stuart, VA, Linda Dula (Henry), Lenoir, NC, Elder Melton Roberson (Dale), Stuart, Va., Ann Fulton, High Point, NC, Elder Nathaniel Roberson (Sherry), Stuart, VA, and Anthony Roberson (Lisa), Martinsville, VA; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Hill Gaither, Stuart, VA; special nephew, Ronnie Gilbert (Bernice); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Roberson will be on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Greater Tabernacle of Praise, 252 Golf Course Road, Stuart, Virginia with Dr. Tony O. Carter eulogizing. The family will receive friends from noon until time of the service on Saturday at the church.
