Mrs. Imogene Edwards Stewart

Mrs. Imogene Edwards Stewart, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Stewart was born in Carroll County on February 14, 1942 to Frederick Rufus and Lottie Irene Jones Edwards. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Mrs. Stewart was retired from Henredon. Surviving are her devoted husband, Dalmer Stewart of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Melissa Stewart of Mt. Airy; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Fay Deane and Jeff Pruitt of Pinnacle, Kim and Danny Vaughn of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Madison Elyse Stewart and Colin Blake Stewart; step grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Pruitt, Kyle Dwain Pruitt, Jenna Le Mae Pruitt, Gregory Tyler Vaughn and Hannah Brooke Vaughn; sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley and Aulborn Fleming of Bellevue, OH, Juanita Simmons of Rural Hall, several nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law, Geneva Bryant Stewart of Pilot Mountain. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Thomas and a brother, Ray Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Barry Clement and Rev. Ronnie Chamblin. Burial will follow in Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
