Mrs. Irene Venetta Dawson Draughn Hughes

Mrs. Irene Venetta Dawson Draughn Hughes age 82 of Mt.Airy, NC widow of Mr. Herman Hughes passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Twelve Oaks. She was born April 19, 1931 in Surry County . She was a homemaker and was a member of Flat Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Branson of Mt. Airy a son and daughter-in-law, David and Sonja Draughn of Mt. Airy, four grandchildren, Nichole Easter, Jerry Tyre Branson, Kevin Davis and Brittany Hill all of Mt. Airy and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dennis Bledsoe. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm Tuesday until time of he service at Moody Funeral Home. .Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Twelve Oaks Rest Home and Alzheimer's Unit Memory Care Unit activities Unit, 1297 Galax, Trail, Mt.
