Mrs. Jane H. Lawson

Mrs. Jane Hawks Lawson, 86 of Westfield, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on February 5, 1929 to the late Goble and Edith Hill Hawks. Mrs. Lawson retired from Spencer's Inc. She was a member of Albion Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories, are her sons and daughter-in-law. Eddie Dean and Pricilla Lawson and Ronnie Lee Lawson; grandchildren and spouses, Tina and Eddie Alder, Shane and Amy Myers, Jennifer and Scott Wyatt, Robert Dean Lawson, Crystal and David Alder and Ronnie Lee Lawson, Jr.; seven great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie and Harry Jessup, Linda Gwyn, Silla and Carroll Dockery, Mary Leftwich. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Lawson; a son, Leon Lawson; her twin sister, Jean Casstevens, and a daughter-in-law, Connie Lawson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Albion Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Easter and Rev. Joe Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening, July 12, 2015 where the body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 prior to the service.
