Mrs. Janet Brindle Shinault

Mrs. Janet Brindle Shinault, age 71, of Dobson, North Carolina a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Wednesday December 11, 2013 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy. She was born in Surry County on March 28, 1942 to the late William Rufus Brindle and Ethel Haynes Brindle. She was a life long member of Salem Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and sung in the choir as long as her health permitted. She worked for Surry County School Systems as a Substitute Teacher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Arthur Folger Brindle and three sisters Mae Branch, Martha Adams, Geraldine Brindle. Surviving is her husband Wilbur Clay Shinault of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law Kevin and Letitia Shinault of Dobson, Eric and Kelli Shinault of Austin Texas; three grandchildren Gabrielle Shinault, Benjamin Shinault, and Harris Shinault; by four sisters and three brothers-in-law Myrtle Brindle Apple of Cumming, GA, Nettie and Darrel Coe of Winston-Salem, Edna and Jack Wall of Rural Hall, Carolyn White of Dobson, Claude Branch of Mt. Airy, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. December 14, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery; Dr. Bobby Lewis and Rev. Rex Adams will conduct the services. Her body will be taken to Salem Baptist Church on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. where the family will receive friends; her body will lie in state 30 min. on Saturday morning from 10:30 until time of her service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 430 Rockford Rd. Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Shinault
