Mrs. Janice Elizabeth Hill Epperson

Mrs. Janice Elizabeth Hill Epperson, age 78 of Ararat, VA, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Epperson was born in Patrick County on March 11, 1934 to Rev. David and Valley Slate Hill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are her husband, Nick Epperson of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Kenny Dockery of Cameron, MT; Lisa and Champe Holman of Jetersville, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Tammy Epperson of Ararat, VA; grandchildren, Ryan Holman and wife Georgia, Britni Holman, Will Holman, Mason Epperson and Kyle Epperson; a great granddaughter, Harley Elizabeth Holman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mattie and Clinton McCann of Kernersville; Vera and Ronald Spivey of Mt. Airy; Sandra Anderson of Cana; Alice and Dwight Noonkester of Mt. Airy; Deborah and Buddy Moricle of Woolwine, VA; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Hill of McDonough, GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Love and brothers, Marvin Hill, David Hill, Jr. and Frank Hill. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Victory Baptist Church by Rev. Joey Jessup with burial to follow in Oakdale cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
