Mrs. Jathina Josephine Eaton Bowman

Mrs. Jathina Josephine Eaton Bowman, 98, of Mt. Airy formerly of Ararat, VA passed away Monday, January 2, 2017. She was one of ten children born to the late William Tyler and Lavinia Ellen Marshall Eaton. She was born in Patrick County, VA on April 27, 1918. Mrs. Bowman attended Jeb Stuart School and worked at Spencer’s Inc. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Bowman; her only son, Roger Dale Bowman; siblings, Tressy, Ernest, Arthur, John, Dorothy, Glen, Raymond Clinard, Polly and Thelma. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church in Ararat, VA with Mary Eaton Bliss officiating.
