Mrs. Jessie Elizabeth Edwards Hodge

Mrs. Jessie Elizabeth Edwards Hodge, age 90 of Mt, Airy, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Hodge was born in Carroll County on July 16, 1924 to Jesse Morgan and Mary Elizabeth Weddle Edwards. She was retired from Centel Telephone Company. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norris and Jo Hodge. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Odis Hodge; a sister, Hazel Dickens and brothers, James Edwards and Lewis Edwards. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Skyline Memory Gardens by Rev. Alex Martin and Mr. Johnny Dalton. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home beginning at 9:30 AM.
