Mrs. Jewell Busick

Mrs. Jewell Bartlett Busick, 72 of Mt. Airy passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Sidney Cleveland and Cora Mae Davis Robinson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and cherished spending time with them. She is survived by her devoted husband, David Busick, two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Rick Carico, Detra and James Boyd, a son, Dwaine Bowers; a step daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Marty Brannock; a step son, Terry Bartlett; grandchildren, Chad Carico, Whitney Donithan, Chelsea Bowers Hamilton, Cody Carico, Josh Bowers, Sarah Boyd Willard, Seth Boyd, Summer Boyd; step grandchildren, Richard Bartlet, Angela Taylor, and Candace Kerley; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Busick was preceded in death by a sister and several brothers. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Dayspring Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Roger Pickett to officiate. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
