Mrs. Judy Ann Puckett

Mrs. Judy Ann Puckett, 72, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday February 19, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Puckett was born June 22, 1944 to the late Robert and Lettie Gravley Simmons. Mrs. Puckett was a homemaker and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are a son; Teddy Puckett, two daughters and sons-in-law; Jeannie and Kenneth Southern, Lorrie and Jeff Reeves, four grandchildren; Kayla and husband Ben Lawson, Devan Southern, Jenna Southern, Savanna Perdue, a sister and brother -in –law; Hellen and Ronnie Davis, a brother and sister- in-law; Billy and Barbara Simmons. In addition to her parents Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband; Walter Holland Puckett, a granddaughter; Jordan Southern, four sisters; Dolly Tate, Ruby Gammons, Mary Haynes, Doris Bingman , and a brother; Bobby Simmons. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Johnathan Bass, and Rev. Jack Anderson. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the nurses at Mountain Valley Hospice for their kindness and care during Mrs. Puckett’s illness.
