Mrs. Judy Coleman Turner, age 67 of Critz passed away Saturday May 24, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on January 3, 1947 to the late Sam Coleman and Gladys Hall Coleman. In addition to her parents Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby "Chic" Tatum; her second husband, J.P. Turner and a brother, Sammy Coleman. She retired after serving 33 years as Deputy Commissioner of Revenue for the County of Patrick. During her illness special care and love was tenderly given by her dear friends and the family would like to express their gratitude for everything that was done for Judy.
Mrs. Turner is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law, John and Sharon Coleman of Monroe, North Carolina and Shirley Coleman of Fieldale, Virginia and three nephews, Matthew Coleman, Michael Coleman and David Coleman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Dewayne Troutt officiating. The burial will immediately follow in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to PAWS (Patrick Animal Welfare Society), P.O. Box 743, Stuart, VA 24171.
