Mrs. Kathryn Baldwin McKeithan

Mrs. Kathryn "Grandma Kay" Baldwin McKeithan, age 84 of Mt. Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Northern Hospital. Mrs. McKeithan was born in Surry County on December 22, 1927 to John "Jim" and Leavie Midkiff Baldwin. Kathryn was well loved by her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all those who were a part of her life. Surviving are her three daughters and sons-in-law: Candace "Candy" McKeithan Richardson, Bridgett and Wayne Pike, and Sandra McKeithan Richards, all of Mt. Airy, her four sons and daughters-in-law; Jeffrey and Dianne McKeithan of Salisbury, Joey and Sabrina McKeithan of Mt. Airy, Gary McKeithan of Cana, VA, and Kevin McKeithan of Charlotte. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a sister, Alta Carlson of Mt. Airy, and a brother, J. C. Baldwin of Wichita, KS. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McKeithan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis McKeithan, her son, Michael Louis McKeithan, her granddaughter, Terri Anne Haas and her brother, Carroll Baldwin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Flat Rock Baptist by Rev. Jon Cawley and Rev. Fonda Younger. Burial will follow in Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the church.
