Mrs. Lelia Frances Cagle King, age 89 of Cana, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2014 at her home. Mrs. King was born in Carroll County on March 22, 1925 to the late Milie Cagle Edwards. She was a dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her devoted family and many friends. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Reba and Conley Hale of Galax; sons and a daughters-in-law, Leroy and Edith King of Mt. Airy and Lonnie and Judy King of Hillsville; grandchildren, Connie Joyce Hale, Bryan David King, Laura Marie Amdusky, Monica Lee King and Jason Lee King; great grandchildren, Emmett Michael King, Molly Jane King, Arianna Mia King, Zachary Amdusky and Adam Amdusky; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Arles Wayne and Lucretia Edwards and Marvin and Vineda Edwards all of Cana and Carvie and Ann Edwards of Bellevue, OH. In addition to her mother, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, George Emmett King. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Rocky Ford Christian Church by Rev. Billy Moore and Rev. Dewey Felts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. King's wonderful caregivers, without whom, "we would not have been able to care for our mother at home."
