Mrs. Lena Forrest Jones

Mrs. Lena Forrest King Jones, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL and formerly of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Jacksonville. Mrs. Jones was born in Surry County on December 7, 1923 to John and Malinda Edwards King. She was a loving wife and mother and was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and James F. Brady of Keller, TX; a grandson, James Scott Brady also of Keller; a brother, John King of Pilot Mountain and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Queniston Jones; a sister, Frankie Gwynn; brothers, Bruce, Barnett, Claude, and Marvin King. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Roger Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
