Mrs. Lillian B. Cockerham
Mrs. Lillian B. Cockerham, age 86, of Dobson NC, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mount Airy. She was born in Surry County to the late Haywood and Vilener Barker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Cockerham and her son, Bobby Lawson. Mrs. Cockerham was retired from Chatham Mills and a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cockerham is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glinard and Alice Lawson of Dobson; Grandchildren, Steven (Talisha) Lawson of Pilot Mountain, Angela (Mark) Cannell of Siloam, and Jason Lawson of Boonville; Great- grandchildren, Cadence Lawson, Brennan Lawson, Jessica Creed and Caleb Creed; One great-great grandchild, Cylan Cooper.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in The Moody-Davis Chapel in Dobson with Reverend Terry Coe officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation
