Mrs. Lillian Gertrude Hall Doss

Mrs. Lillian Gertrude Hall Doss age 90 of 156 Trickle Branch Trail, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Harry Doss passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Central Continuing Care. She was born November 7, 1923 in Surry County to the late Charlie and Mamie Gravley Hall. Mrs. Doss was retired from Spencer's Inc. and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Steve O'Neal of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, James O. and Wilma Doss of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren, Michael "Chip" Doss, Charlie Doss and Dylan O'Neal all of Mt. Airy, Shannon Danley and husband, Mark of Ararat, two great grandchildren; Levi Doss of Mt. Airy and Jackson Danley of Ararat. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Doss was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty George and Annie Easter, and six brothers, Reid Hall, Bill Hall, Wayne (Buzz) Hall, Herbert (Jim ) Hall, Glen Hall and Ernest Hall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd. Burial will follow in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Moody Funeral Home. Airy, NC 27030.
