Mrs. Lillie Mae Tolbert Brooks

Mrs. Lillie Mae Tolbert Brooks, age 84, formerly of Surry County, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at The Brian Center in Hickory, NC. She was born March 29, 1932 in Surry County to the late Martin and Pearl Tolbert and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Wayne Farms. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Marshall Brooks. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Brooks Hodges, of Dobson; her son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Vicky Brooks, of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Susan Hinson, William Hinson, Felicia Tolbert and Michael Brooks; great grandchildren, Asia Hinson, Emily Brooks and Andrew Brooks; and her sister Mary Tolbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. A Celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM Sunday March 26, 2017 at New Bethel Baptist Church, with Reverend Brian Pack officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Brooks family.
