Mrs. Lillie D. Moorefield

Mrs. Lillie Dollarhite Moorefield, age 80 of Martinsville passed away Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1928 in Lunenburg County, VA to the late William Jefferson Dollarhite and Sarah Norma Vipperman Dollarhite. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lee Moorefield; a grandson, David Cardwell and three brothers, Hassell, Herbert, and Carl Dollarhite.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Sue Cardwell of Martinsville, Brenda Moorefield of Martinsville; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Odell of Ridgeway, Stella Hopper of Eden, NC, Ruth Meadows of Spencer; and two brothers, Bernie Dollarhite and Hunter Dollarhite both of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Oct. 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Minister David Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dobyns Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
