Mrs. Lonie Bryant Rorrer

Mrs. Lonie Bryant Rorrer age 95 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on December 15, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Columbus Bryant and Cephus Rorrer and a son-in-law, G. W. Thomas. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended until her health declined. Lonie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she devoted her life to her family and her faith.
Mrs. Rorrer is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Erman & Linda Bryant of Stuart, Calvin & Debby Bryant of Dover, DE, Kent & Charlene Bryant of Stuart and James & Judy Bryant of Stuart; two daughters, Lucille Thomas of Madison Heights, VA and Anna Walker of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren, Regina Thomas, Heather Thomas, Jason Bryant, Janet Wilson, Austin Bryant, Kaitlyn Bryant and Seth Bryant; twelve great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday March 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. The burial will immediately follow in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at 593 Crestview Road, Stuart, Virginia.
