Mrs. Lou Ella Lowe Doby

Mrs. Lou Ella Lowe Doby Age 89 of Lowgap, NC passed away Thursday January 28, 2016 at the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center in Galax. Mrs. Doby was born March 19, 1926 in Surry County to the late Ezra and Maggie Galyean Lowe, she was a loving mother and grandmother to her family, she was retired from Tultex and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law Louann and Tommy Lineberry of Galax, three grandchildren, Andrea Gilley of Fairview, VA, Rhonda Rutledge of Iowa Park, TX and Ronald Doby, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Mooresville, two step grandchildren, Austin Lineberry and wife, Elizabeth and Justin Lineberry and wife, Michael; seven great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; special nephews Dennis and Helen Flippin and Bernard and Fran Flippin and special nieces Frances, Nell and Marcie. In addition to her parents Mrs. Doby was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Doby, her son Ronald Doby, five sisters Lola Crouse, Vinnie Flippin, Velva Gentry, Eulala Vass and Linnie Lowe and by two brothers Leonard and Hoyt Lowe; a half-brother, Corby Lowe. Funeral services will be held will be held Saturday January 30, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Elder Carlton Brown and Elder David Minnows with burial to follow in the Fisher Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
