Mrs. Louise Gray Rogers Davis

Mrs. Louise Gray Rogers Davis, age 88 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on September 6, 2015 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Patrick County, on October 9, 1926 to the late Mr. Brockley Gray and Fanny Heath Gray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vester Rogers; her second husband, Eddie Davis; two sisters, Elva Bary and Thelma Corns; and a son-in-law, Murray Anthony. She was a longtime member of Peters Creek Baptist Church, a member of Women on Missions, and a member of The Sunshine Ladies Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Davis is survived by a daughter, Arzelle Anthony of Ridgeway; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stan Rogers and wife, Lucille of Ridgeway, and Ricky Rogers and wife, Penny of Stuart; a step-son, Rev. Sherman Davis of Cumberland, Maryland; grandchildren, Byron Anthony, Gwen Murphy, Benjamin Rogers, Amanda Johnson, and Michael Muse; great grandchildren, Madison Moore, Rylee Moore, Tanner Hall, Taylor Rogers, Yonah Rogers, and Linkoln Rogers; a brother, Billy Jack Gray and wife Lilla of Stuart, VA,; several nieces and nephews, and a special caregiver, Willie Mae Ray of Stuart, VA.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Ragsdale officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the church from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Peters Creek Baptist Church, c/o Delano Biggs, 4358 Salem Highway, Stuart, VA 24171.
