Mrs. Mabel Virginia Johnson Moran

Mrs. Mabel Virginia Johnson Moran age 92 of 126 Stormy Point Lane, Lowgap, NC widow of Mr. Stafford Carter Moran, Sr. passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 22, 1922 in Amherst, VA to the late Oliver and Katherine West Johnson. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and Sons-in-law, Deborah Lowe and Roger of King, Shirley Hutchinson of Stewartstown, PA and Cynthia Ebert and Charles of Arlington, TX, two sons and daughters-in-law, Stafford Carter Moran, Jr. and Linda of Parksville, MD and Douglas Moran and Valerie of Chase MD, 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, sisters and brother-in-law, Loretta Breymore of Bel-Air, MD, Katherine Affelt and Robert of Millsboro, DE, and Lillian Latorre of Halethorpe, MD. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Moran, a brother, Jimmy Johnson and two sisters, Betty Smith and Grace Day. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Mountain View Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Ewell Vernon. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Wednesday until time of the service at Mountain View Baptist Church. A graveside committal service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Ellicott City, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. .
