Mrs. Maleta Mae Blackburn Leonard

Mrs. Maleta Mae Blackburn Leonard, 86 of Lambsburg passed away Friday, July 18, 2014. She was born in Carroll County, VA on January 9, 1928 to the late Walter and Rosa Belle Bobbitt Blackburn. Mrs. Leonard worked at Spencer's for many years before retiring from F&H Sanding. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Terry Leonard of Lambsburg; four grandchildren and their spouses, Angie and Brad Cagle of Cana, Nikki and Stephen Cannoy of Lambsburg, Scott and Amber Leonard of Midlothian, VA and Mickey and Joyell Leonard of Yadkinville, NC and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Leonard; an infant daughter; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Cecil Junior and Orene Leonard, Jackie Lawrence Leonard and Walter Frank Leonard; her parents, Walter Blackburn and Rosa Belle Bobbitt Blackburn Hawks; a sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Ralph Basham and a brother, Cecil Blackburn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Lambsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Verlon Combs officiating. Burial will follow at the Hawks Family Cemetery with committal by Rev.
